Grading the Grader

WatchBlog here. Many have been wondering why they should pay any attention to WatchBlog Draft Grades. Ok, no one was really wondering, but now you are, so here are some quick hit facts on how WatchBlog Draft Grades have translated to playoff success in the last two (since 2012) CFFFL seasons:

1.  Only 1 team has received a WatchBlog Draft Grade below a C+ and still made the CFFFL playoffs (2012 Honey Badger - D)

2.  Only 1 team has received a WatchBlog Draft Grade below a B and made it to the CFFFL Championship game (2013 Dreaming Chickens - C+)

3.  Both CFFFL Champions receiving WatchBlog Draft Grades received at least a B (2012 Quail Hunters - A+, 2013 Sugar Gliders - B)

4.  The average WatchBlog Draft Grade for CFFFL playoff teams in 2012 was a B+ while the average WatchBlog Draft Grade for non-playoff teams was a D.

5.  The average WatchBlog Draft Grade for CFFFL playoff teams in 2013 was a B while the average WatchBlog Draft Grade for non-playoff teams was a C.

6.  3 teams receiving WatchBlog Draft Grades of A or higher have missed the CFFFL playoffs (2012 MotherBoy - A, 2012 Hottez wit da bodiez - A, 2013 49ers - A+)

7.  4 teams receiving WatchBlog Draft Grades of A or higher have made the CFFFL playoffs (2012 Quail Hunters - A+, 2012 Leftovers - A, 2012 47ers - A, 2012 Sugar Gliders - A)

8.  Every team receiving a B or B+ WatchBlog Draft Grade has made the CFFFL playoffs (2012 Plowboys - B, 2013 Whatever - B+, 2013 Got Time for 'Dis - B, 2013 Sugar Gliders - B, 2013 Gamers - B, 2013 Amy's Excellent Team - B)

9.  In 2013, WatchBlog only gave 1 team a WatchBlog Draft Grade of A or higher.  That team failed to make the CFFFL playoffs. (49ers - A+)

10.  In the past 2 seasons, only 3 teams have received a WatchBlog Draft Grade of F.  None of those teams made the CFFFL playoffs.

Conclusion?  If you got a passing WatchBlog Draft Grade, your chances of making the CFFFL playoffs are better than if you didn't - but nothing's guaranteed. That's why they fake play the fake games on the fake field. Good luck!
