Week 4 - Early Edition

WatchBlog here.  2 games are final - the rest we'll get to later.  Let's get to it.

FatherGirl

While MotherBoy's team is named after a fictional awkward parent-child relationship displayed on TV, a real-life awkwardness was no doubt on display during the CFFFL's sole parent-child matchup from week 4. At stake was the potential lead in the CFFFL's 3CBC division and both MotherBoy and Hottez wit da bodiez were projected to score within 1 point of each other.  Well, so much for projections.  Instead the game was the biggest blowout to date in this 2012 CFFFL season.  Gary "Look who has the Hottez-iest bodiez now" Cook's team put up the highest point total of the young season, and regained the position as highest scoring team in the league.  In contrast, Lauren "Ewwwuh, that is so gross" Cook's team fell to 1-3 overall, and 1-2 in the division.  Things are looking up for them, however, as next week they get to play the cellar-dwelling Easily Offensive, the closest thing to a guaranteed win the CFFFL has.

Battle of the Beach Bums

In the first spousal matchup of the 2012 CFFFL season, the Left Fielders and 47ers faced off this weekend.  In an effort to fend off the potential friction this battle was likely to bring into the home, the managers reportedly headed to the crystal clear... the blue... the beautiful... the non-solid semi-opaque waters of Galveston beach South Padre Island. The relaxation was great for both teams, as they each eclipsed the century mark in week 4, however Jerry "I played the wrong C Johnson!" Cook fell for the second time in a row dating back to a 2011 playoff loss to his wife's team.  Leading the spousal series 2-1 now, Cindy "I'm still finding sand, but it's worth it" Cook's Left Fielders were dominant, and currently hold sole possession of 2nd place in the 5CD.  Whether they can claim a tie for 1st in the division won't be determined until tomorrow's action concludes. With the 47ers falling to last place in the 5CD, perhaps they're already wishing they had spent more time with waivers, and less time with waves...

Several games still being fought out.  More later.  WatchBlog out.

  1. WatchBlog's original report on Week 4 was not completely accurate. Oddly, in a completely fake blog, this still matters to some. The corrections have been made in yellow.
