WatchBlog here again. Special report time again. Let’s get to it.
What the McGahee?!?
Huge news broke late last week as the PlowBoys inexplicably cut their highest scoring running back, Willis McGahee, going into the player’s BYE week. The 47ers, who were close to last in waiver wire rankings were still able to snatch the quality running back up before most of the league noticed. (WatchBlog sources have told me that at least one other team put in a waiver claim, but they were denied due to an even lower waiver wire ranking...) Norman “I thought BYE was an acronym for Benefit Your Enemies” Cook has been silent on the move but has since picked up RB LaDainian Tomlinson, a shrewd move, had it only happened 3 years ago...
No more Clowning around...
This newest player move has dramatically raised the 47ers’ stock, and despite the ridiculous hair sported by the manager, they will have to be taken more seriously in the coming weeks. Commissioner Gary “I can’t get some managers to be active, I can’t get others to stop” Cook issued a statement suggesting foul play was involved and that strong Commissioner involvement might be required. If that happens, it would be the first time...
More BYE week fallout
It appears Honey Badger still don’t give a McGahee, and that Hottez wit da bodiez has stopped giving a McGahee after a slim victory last week. As WatchBlog first reported, a 1 point stat correction in that game could have stripped them of the victory. The stat correction actually happened, but the 1 point was taken from the PlowBoys and not the Hottez, so the victory stood. Unfortunately, with just minutes to kickoff, no roster moves have been made by either the Badger or the Hottez, and it appears each will field incomplete teams, so the prospects of either getting any victory, slim or not, this week are not good. What a bunch of McGahee.
WatchBlog out.
