WatchBlog has the latest league news - some explosive, some not. Let's get to it.
Tainted Title?
WatchBlog has allegedly spoken with unnamed league sources who have pointed to possible rumors which suggest quite strongly an unconfirmed report, that Amanda Cook, manager of the 2011 CFFFL Champion Quail Hunters, earlier this year, made a shocking admission. That admission? - She actually exercised very little control over the day to day operation of her Championship team, and instead ceded those duties to an, as of yet, unidentified opposing CFFFL manager. What effect this admission, if confirmed, would have on her 2011 title, or on the already printed and certainly worn Championship T-shirt is unknown. More on this as news develops.
Fantasy Baseball?
With 2 new teams joining the CFFFL, and 2 existing teams changing their name prior to Week 1, it was only a matter of time before another team decided to join the re-branding trend. Surprisingly, that team was the Leftovers, who apparently forgot what sport they are pretending to play, and changed their name to Left Fielders. Reportedly, rejected names included: "Left Tackles," "Left of Centers," and "Left Behinds."
Branch of Life?
In the first McGahee Move™ of the season, the CowPokes demonstrated that they walk to the beat of their own drummer, and opted to pick up two new players via the waiver wire. Well, that wasn't really the McGahee Move™. The McGahee Move™ came in deciding to drop kicker Mason Crosby instead of INACTIVE Deion Branch, who is still on the CowPokes roster, despite not currently playing on any NFL team. Mason Crosby, surely in response to the slight, went out and put up 14 points one day later.
