WatchBlog here again. The late games have gone final, and no surprises in the results, but let’s get to it.
The Boys get Plowed...
The PlowBoys went down for the second week in a row, and were not even able to break the 70 point plateau. This can be attributed to Norman “do I have to watch non-Cowboy games?” Cook’s gutsy strategy of keeping Dez Bryant in the starting lineup, even though out with an injury. If asked, the PlowBoys chief might have said “I’ll take an injured Dez Bryant over a healthy Steve Smith any day.” Steve Smith, who has put up over 43 points while sitting on the PlowBoys bench, is definitely in Norman Cook’s doghouse. If the injured for the season Jordan Shipley gets the start over Smith in week 3, we’ll know just how much N. Cook hates Steve Smith.
Fresh Blood on the Field
The 47ers have already given up on their draft, and are trying to rebuild a team through waiver wire acquisitions. For the second week in a row, they have replaced their starting QB, and had 5 new additions to the roster for week 2, 3 of whom started. The result was less than stellar, as the newly formed team mustered just over 86 points. Had it not been for an even worse team on the opposing sideline, they would have likely gone down for the second week in a row, but instead they’ve hit .500 for the first (and likely last) time of the season.
The Honey Badger doesn’t care
The Honey Badger(s) improved dramatically from week 1, and were actually in the top half of the league in scoring in week 2. Unfortunately, they ran into the offensive juggernaut of the short season known as Cute Little Puppies. Stacy “Smack down” Cook’s top-ranked team leads the league in scoring, and sports the hottest QB in the league. (Just ask Lauren.) In her post game statement, S. Cook addressed whether or not she was the new favorite to win the CFFFL title by saying: “Obviously...”
