WatchBlog here. Wild card week is done. Divisional Round is next. Let's get to it.
The Cow Pokes finished dead last in the CFFFL in 2011. After a controversial 2012 Pokes draft heavy in QBs and very light in RBs, no one expected them to do any better than that this year. However, the acquisition of free agent C.J. Spiller, and about 37 other roster moves were just enough to not only get them out of last place, but actually to launch them into the playoffs. Unfortunately for Norman "I'll be putting in waiver claims over the off-season, you can bet on it" Cook, his first ever playoff matchup was against the streaking Left Fielders who have scored at least 90 points in every game for 7 weeks straight. (Not saying it would have mattered as the Pokes were the lowest scoring wild card playoff team, so any matchup would have led to the same result.) With the win, the Fielders now advance to the Divisional Round, and have the tough task of knocking out the dominant Sugar Gliders, who put up a record setting 145 points in their BYE week, and passed the 143 point mark set earlier in the season by Easily Offensive. The matchup appears to be between the 2 hottest teams in the league, and some argue is the true CFFFL Championship game, as whoever wins this, will be the favorite to win it all. Cindy "I'd just be happy with an all girl Championship - unless of course, neither of those girls is me" Cook will have to come with her "A" game in order to win, as the Fielders and Gliders are the 2 highest scoring teams in the league overall, and especially in the past 7 weeks. The potential loss of Dez Bryant to injury might actually help the Fielders, as Danario Alexander might get the start, and has been lighting it up in recent weeks. The Gliders just hope that they saved some points for when it counts. May the best woman win.

Playoffs Round 1 - Sunday in Review
WatchBlog here. The CFFFL playoffs are finally here. 2 wild card teams advance this weekend, and 2 go home. Not much doubt who is going where at this point. Let's get to it.
In a move that largely went unnoticed last week, the 47ers re-acquired QB Eli Manning, the trade piece that brought RGIII to their team, and allowed them to sneak into the playoffs. With both QBs on their roster, Jerry "Well, maybe now I can defend my Consolation Champion Crown" Cook had a decision to make - play the rookie phenom from WAS, or the NFL Super Bowl veteran from NYG. Needless to say with a coach rating of 79.66% for the year, he was gonna make the wrong decision about 20.44% of the time. This was 1 of those times. Manning scored about 11 more points than RGIII, and in a game the 47ers lost by 8, it was the difference between winning and possibly getting a t-shirt with the exact same slogan as last year. The Quail Hunters left a lot of points on their bench as well, but as they had finished the regular season ranked 9th in coaching decisions, this wasn't really a surprise. Only a nice draft has saved them from their coach who leaves the second most points on her bench each week - second only to the Hottez, who didn't even have a coach. Amanda "check out the wins and championship title - you can keep your precious points" Cook will advance to the 2nd round, and face off against Honey Badger - another team with a low coach rating. But in this year's CFFFL, coach rating has meant almost nothing. The 5 worst coached teams produced 4 playoff teams, while the 5 best coached teams produced only 2. I guess it is all about the draft after all.

Week 13 - Monday in Review
WatchBlog here. Dramatic regular season finish. Let's get to it.
The game that decided nothing
In what very well could be CFFFL Championship preview, the Sugar Gliders took on Honey Badger in a statement game. The statement was this: like it or not, Honey Badger is here, unmanned, and dangerous. All the managers that have spent weeks pouring over their rosters and the waiver wire in an attempt to improve their team have to wonder if the simplicity of just drafting a team, and leaving them alone might be the most genius strategy of all. Andrew "If everyone agrees not to tell me, I'll never even know if I win it all" Cook won't even have a game to ignore next week, as he has earned a BYE week, along with the distinction of being the sole playoff representative from the 3CBC division. The Sugar Gliders will also enjoy a BYE next week, and will await their next opponent in the second playoff round. Shoshana "3 losses? I feel terrible. How do you other teams handle it?" Cook's biggest downside to the playoff berth is that now she has to pay attention to football for at least one more week.
The game that put a Mother and her son out of their misery
As bad as MotherBoy has been the past 5 weeks, this high scoring, highly praised, and predictably snake bitten team still just needed 1 thing to advance to the playoffs. It was the same thing the team has needed for 6 weeks in a row: a win. But for 5 weeks, no such luck, and this was their last chance. Their opponent, the Cow Pokes were looking to punch their ticket to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. After finishing in last place in 2011, Norman "Who's laughing at my draft selections now?" Cook needed a win to finish as the 5th best regular season team, but knew a loss would knock his team out of playoff contention altogether. The Pokes had not battled with Boy on the field, but had a run in earlier in the season over a proposed trade. The Pokes wanted to trade RGIII away for Eli Manning, but Commish Gary "this is the last trade I'll ever veto" Cook said the deal was unfair and stopped it. The result was that the Pokes ended up also getting TE Heath Miller out of the trade - the same Miller that started for the Pokes and scored 15.7 points (13.8 points more than the Pokes reserve TE Dennis Pitta.) Those extra points were just enough to give the Pokes the win, and knock the Commish out of the 2012 playoffs. So much for trying to be fair.

The game that shall be known as Rise of the Perm - Pt II
In 2011, there was a dark horse team that only managed 6 wins, but because of tiebreaker advantages, made it into the playoffs as a 6th seed. Fast forward to 2012, and yet again, another dark horse team came out of nowhere to scratch out 6 wins, and through a tiebreaker, claim the 6th and final playoff spot. In both cases, the team was the 47ers. Thanks to a head to head win over Easily Offensive in week 12, all the 47ers needed to do was to beat the very beatable Gamers. After rough Sunday's for both teams, The Gamers actually had an almost 18 point lead. But the 47ers still had one player to go - the electric RGIII. 18 points was a given, right? Well for 3 quarters of the Monday night game, it looked like it wasn't a given at all. RGIII was being held in check, and needed his first touchdown of the game if he was to pull out the win for his Redskins, and in so doing, launch the 47ers into the playoffs, and knock Easily Offensive out for good. Durlon "Easily Offensive eliminated me yesterday by winning, I don't owe them anything" Bryant's loss left him in a tie for last with the Hottez - a team that has literally played short-handed every game since week 6. Maybe drafting Jay Cutler in the first round is actually just as bad as not playing 8 players every week. As for Jerry "So Stat Corrections happen every week, huh? Surely a 2 point correction isn't gonna show up and turn this whole thing upside down... right?" Cook, his 47ers will avoid playing his wife in the first round like he did last year, and instead will face off against the defending Champ Hunters. Which team he will be rooting for is yet to be determined.

Week 13 - Sunday in Review
WatchBlog here. No games are final, but 2 are definitely decided. Let's get to it.
No Surprises
Well, we've all known this was going to happen for about 6 weeks now, but Hottez wit da bodiez has finally been officially eliminated from playoff contention. Lauren "I knew this about 13 weeks ago, what took you all so long?" Cook will likely be facing forced retirement, or at least a harshly worded message from Cronos after falling off the map completely this year, but at least she was able to torpedo 4 teams with losses throughout the course of her joke of a season. This week's beneficiary of the non-opponent was the Left Fielders. Cindy "If we kick out everyone who doesn't care, can we have a league with just 5 teams?" Cook's entry into the playoffs was never really in doubt, but a commanding victory settled it once and for all. The Fielders are assured of a tie with the Quail Hunters at 7-6, and could be joined by the Cow Pokes after Monday night's game. The Fielders will be no less than the 4th seed, and their likely 1st round opponent will be the winner of this week's Cow Pokes and MotherBoy game. Not sure if either of those teams is looking forward to that battle.
Offensive Aid?
With the win this week by Easily Offensive, both the Hottez and The Gamers were eliminated. Only 4 teams still have the potential to make the final 2 playoff spots. David "All this stress could have been avoided had I just beaten the Hottez? Thanks, now I feel even worse" Cook did his part in beating the defending CFFFL Champ, but it won't be enough unless either MotherBoy or The Gamers win. Neither appear likely to do so, but it can't be said that it is impossible. David had been openly seeking to get QB RGIII on his roster, and after failing, it appears that the very same player will be who keeps him out of the CFFFL playoffs. Wearing that RGIII tshirt will never feel the same. The Quail Hunters looked pathetic for a second week in a row, but it appears they have locked down the 3rd seed, and their likely 1st round opponent will either be the 47ers or a rematch with Easily Offensive when they begin their defense of their 2011 CFFFL Championship. Amanda "So we'll be having the Cook Christmas get together on the Sunday of our CFFFL Super Bowl? This could get awkward" Cook might be an easy pass for whoever gets her, especially if she continues the trend of scoring under 60 points. Perhaps she's saving them for when they matter...
WatchBlog's Unofficial Playoff seeding (projected)
1. Sugar Gliders - next week BYE
2. Honey Badger - next week BYE
3. Quail Hunters - next week vs. 47ers or Offensive
4. Left Fielders - next week vs. Pokes or Boy
5. Pokes or Boy - next week vs. Fielders
6. 47ers or Offensive - next week vs. Hunters

Week 12 - Monday in Review
WatchBlog here. No games left to discuss, so will try to sort out the playoff possibilities. Let's get to it.
The Commish has weighed in on the tiebreakers, and we know after head to head, total points will be the next tiebreaker. What is unclear is how head to head will be determined when more than 2 teams are tied (which will almost certainly happen.) Here's WatchBlog's best guess on where the teams stand:
Sugar Gliders - Clinched Div and number 1 seed in playoffs
Honey Badger - Clinched Div and number 2 seed in playoffs
Quail Hunters - Clinched playoffs. Needs a win to clinch number 3 seed (Holds head to head tiebreaker vs. Fielders and 129.04 point advantage over Pokes, but trails the Fielders by 73.42)
Left Fielders - Needs a win to clinch playoffs or a loss by 2 of the following: Offensives, Boy, 47ers. (Holds head to head tiebreaker over Boy & Offensives, and 202.46 pt advantage over Pokes, 36.92 pt advantage over Boy, 42.72 pt advantage over Offensives, 138 pt advantage over 47ers and 73.42 pt advantage over Hunters.)
Cow Pokes - Needs a win to clinch playoffs or a loss by the Offensives and 47ers. (Holds head to head tiebreaker over 47ers, and trails Fielders by 202.46, Boy by 165.54, Offensives by 159.74, Hunters by 129.04, and 47ers by 64.46 in total points)
MotherBoy - Needs a win over Pokes and losses by Offensives and 47ers to clinch playoffs without a multi-team tiebreaker. In loss to Pokes, would need losses by Offensives and 47ers and then win a multi-team tiebreaker. (Holds head to head tiebreaker over Gamers and Hottez and advantage over Offensives by 5.8, 47ers by 101.08, Pokes by 165.54, Gamers by 202.18, and Hottez by 250.88 in total points)
Easily Offensive - Needs a win and losses by Boy and 47ers to clinch playoffs without a multi-team tiebreaker. In a loss, would need losses by Boy and 47ers, and then win a multi-team tiebreaker. (Holds head to head tiebreaker over Pokes, and trails Boy by 5.8, and leads 47ers by 95.26, Pokes by 159.74, Gamers by 196.38, and Hottez by 245.08 in total points)
47ers - Needs a win and losses by Boy and Offensives to clinch playoffs without a multi-team tiebreaker. In a loss, would need losses by Boy and Offensives, and then win a multi-team tiebreaker. (Holds head to head tiebreaker over Boy and Offensives, and trails Boy by 101.08, and Offensives by 95.26, and leads Pokes by 64.48, Gamers by 101.12, and Hottez by 149.82 in total points)
The Gamers - Needs a win and losses by Boy, Offensives, and 47ers, and then win a multi-team tiebreaker. (Leads Hottez by 48.70, and trails Boy by 202.18, Offensives by 196.38, and 47ers by 101.12 in total points)
Hottez wit da bodiez - Needs a win and losses by Boy, Offensivs, and 47ers, and then win a multi-team tiebreaker. (Holds head to head tiebreaker over 47ers, and trails Gamers by 48.70, Boy by 250.88, Offensives by 245.08, and 47ers by 149.82 in total points)

Week 12 - Sunday in Review
WatchBlog here. Well, quite a mess we have here. Let's get to it.
At least they're consistent
The Sugar Gliders and MotherBoy faced off, in what was expected as a battle between two titans earlier in the season. However, while the Gliders have lived up to their billing, MotherBoy has lately been as dainty a foe as their new moniker might suggest. On a 5 game losing streak, Gary "First David caught me, and now Jerry - and I thought losing to Andrew was embarrassing..." Cook is on the very real verge of missing the playoffs altogether. Shoshana "If I win it all, I'm done. Can't go anywhere but down from here" Cook has secured her place as the top seed, and will sit and wait until week 15 to have another meaningful game. After next week, MotherBoy will likely have to wait a whole year to see one.
You've got to be kidding me
So all the Quail Hunters needed to keep their hopes alive of winning their division was to beat the impossible to lose to Hottez wit da bodiez. Perhaps they knew the Gliders were playing the impossible to lose to MotherBoy, so they just threw in the towel. Whatever the reason, despite the Hottez only having 4 scoring players vs. the Hunters' 8, they have won this game with a player still yet to take the field tonight. Amanda "Perhaps I'll chill on the trash talking this week" Cook left a lot of points on the bench, and needs a win next week (or a Fielders and Pokes loss) to clinch the top seeded wildcard team. Lauren "Wait, this Fantasy Basketball thing is still going?" Cook has managed her 4th win of the season, and could possibly pull into a tie for 6th place. Given her last place point total, a points tiebreaker would eventually knock her out. But since it's theoretically possible for her to score 300 points in week 13, I guess Watchblog was premature in announcing her as eliminated. But come on, we all thought the same thing...
And yet...
The Honey Badger has 1 more player to play tonight, but without those points, they are currently sitting as the 7th highest scoring team in the league - and yet... they have the 2nd best record in the league, and have clinched their first appearance in the CFFFL playoffs. The Badger hasn't made a single transaction since week 1, and yet... the teams they have beaten out for the best record have combined to make 97 transactions. The Badger hasn't made a roster move since week 6, and yet... they have won half of all their games played during that time period, most of them BYE weeks. Andrew "Granddad, you've made 32 transactions, so that's something" Cook is winning through less, and looks to keep it going. The Cow Pokes are another story, as their constant lineup changes and waiver acquisitions are the most consistent thing about them. Now at 6-6, a loss next week to MotherBoy could end their season. Norman "can I still make transactions even though I've been eliminated?" Cook will clinch with a win. Luckily he's playing a team that hasn't won since week 7.
Look who's still in it, too
If the Hottez are still in it with 4 wins, then that means so are The Gamers - this despite getting trounced by the Left Fielders in week 12. With a win against the 47ers next week, and losses by Easily Offensive and MotherBoy, The Gamers will pull into a tie for 6th place, and the final playoff spot. They would have a head to head tiebreaker over the 47ers, but their poor point total would probably be what knocks them out of contention. But hey, score enough points, and even Durlon "More WiFi please!"is still in this thing! As for the Left Fielders, they only need a win next week vs. the Hottez to clinch. Not sure how they couldn't get in even with a loss, since they own the head to head vs. 2 of the 3 teams able to catch them, but, as WatchBlog said, they are playing the Hottez, so it's really a moot question. Cindy "Moot, really? Do you not read your own Blogs - like this one for example?" Cook currently has a 64 point lead over the Hunters, so a 3-way tie with them and the Cow Pokes could mean the Fielders take over the #1 wildcard seed.
The wrench has been thrown
Had the 47ers lost to Easily Offensive, the playoff picture would be much clearer. All 4 win teams would be out, and only 1 team would be eliminated next week. But because of the 47ers win, all teams are still in it, and 4 will be eliminated based on next weeks' results. Easily Offensive lost their mojo when they lost 2 of their key trade acquisitions to injury, and as a result had to replace the best TE in the league and one of the best WRs. David "I may have lost, but at least I did it from Ireland" Cook will now have to win, and get help to make it into the playoffs. The good thing for him is that he has pulled within 6 points of MotherBoy in total points, so he might gain the total point tiebreaker advantage in a multi-team tie. Amazingly, the 47ers and Jerry "I'd have won this game with Eli, too" Cook have gone from a WatchBlog death declaration to what a appears to be the drivers seat. With head to head advantages against both MotherBoy and Easily Offensive, the only thing muddying the water is a head to head disadvantage against the CowPokes. WatchBlog has spoken with the Commissioner prior to this weeks game, but it is unclear what the tiebreaker is after head to head, but WatchBlog suspects it will be total points, especially if the tie includes teams from both divisions. More playoff info as it comes available.

Week 11 - Monday in Review
WatchBlog here. As predicted, no leads changed on Monday. Unfortunately, WatchBlog will be at an international fake blogger convention, and won't be able to provide the coveted WatchBlog commentary in the timely manner that is customary. WatchBlog won't return until after week 12 games are completed. Below find your weekly CFFFL coach and Power Rankings, and also a playoff standings summary. More to come when possible.
See updated WatchBlog below!
Rivalry Week!
The 47ers are not giving up. Although their best possible records sub .500 the 47ers have fought on in the desperate hope that everything falls their way, and they actually slip into the last playoff spot. The first step for Jerry "With RGIII, all things are possible" Cook was to win his Rivalry Week matchup with Cindy "If you make us both miss the playoffs, I'll show you what a real Rivalry Week looks like" Cook's Left Fielders. Thanks to his newly acquired QB he did just that. A ferocious come back attempt by the Fielders came up just short, but at 5-6, the Fielders are in need of wins in the last 2 weeks to assure that neither MotherBoy or Easily Offensive passes them and possibly knocks them out of the playoffs. Rivalry Week at it's best!
More Rivalry Week!
The Gamers were desperate for a win, needing to keep pace with the Offensives in their quest to squeeze into the last playoff spot. The Quail Hunters were also desperate for a win, needing to keep pace with the Gliders in their quest to win their division. Amanda "I don't like jokes" Cook defeated Durlon "I can't believe Andre Johnson picked THIS week to come alive" Bryant in a rather easy fashion. The Gamers will now need quite a bit of help to see the post season, while the Hunters still have an outside chance at passing the Gliders if the Gliders lose their next 2 while the Hunters win out. But this year, ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!
Rivalry Week!
The Cow Pokes were also desperate for a win to avoid falling into a 4 way tie for 4th place in the CFFFL. They have struggled in recent weeks, and this week was really no different. Norman "The Cowboys AND Cow Pokes won in the same weekend - I'm the king if the world!" Cook's saving grace was that he played the league's virtual BYE week, Hottest wit da bodiez. Officially eliminated from playoff contention, Lauren "My only contribution to the league this year was the team name for my Dad's team" has 0 interest in playing this game, and should be expecting a career ending visit from a plant overlord in the coming weeks. The Pokes just need to continue to win, as Easily Offensive can knock them out of the playoffs just by merely tying them. 2 exciting weeks to come!

Week 11 - Sunday in Review
WatchBlog here. Realistically all games are decided, but WatchBlog will just go with 2 games for now. Let's get to it.
How the mighty have fallen
4 weeks ago MotherBoy was in a tie for 1st in the 3CBC division, and had just been declared the best CFFFL team by WatchBlog through the first half of the season. Fast forward to week 11, and MotherBoy hasn't won a single game since. The Honey Badger, who was the other team tied with MotherBoy in week 7, has some how managed to win 2 of his 4 games played since, and, as a result, now holds a 2 game lead, with 2 weeks to play. Based on head to head wins, the Badger has officially clinched the 3CBC division, and a 1st round playoff BYE. No, WatchBlog is just as astonished by this news as you are. Gary "I tried to tell him there were consequences for apathy - but apparently I was wrong" Cook's team is now mired in a 4 game losing streak, and is in jeopardy of missing the playoffs altogether if he can't turn it around. Andrew "Why mess with a good thing? Apathy works" Cook is 1 of only 3 teams in the running for 1st seed in the CFFFL playoffs, but will need to win out to even have a chance. With no more BYE weeks, what's to stop him?
Goliath 2012?
The Sugar Gliders have had no problem entering the CFFFL in their first year, and immediately dominating. Starting out with a 5 game win streak, and then after their 1st loss, picking up with a 4 game win streak, the Gliders appeared to be unbeatable - a giant among men, smashing the poor mortals she faced each week without even breaking a sweat. Shoshana "Sweat? Ooo, if I have to sweat, I'm not interested in doing it" Cook was facing a tough challenge in week 11, as BYEs and injuries had claimed all of her RBs, her best WR, and her DEF. But given all that, she was facing the one-time doormat of the league, so she had to think she still had a chance. David "Do you feel adequately lulled into a false sense of security? Excellent" Cook's Easily Offensive had been pronounced dead after starting the season off 0-6, but with nothing to lose (except 7 more games, and what little was remaining of their pride) the team revamped, and miraculously began a 5 game win streak, culminating with a win over the titan Sugar Gliders' in week 11. The Gliders' did not make it easy as they put out a huge point total despite difficult odds, but in the end it just wasn't enough. Easily Offensive has now pulled even with MotherBoy in record, and with a split in head to head meetings, could actually win a tiebreaker for the last playoff spot by outscoring them by 42 points in the last 2 games. Given that they outscored MotherBoy by at least 56 points in week 11 alone, it's not out of the question.

Week 10 - Monday in Review
WatchBlog here. The playoff picture isn't much clearer, but the pool of "in the hunt" teams is down to 8. Let's get to it.
It was the Best of Teams, it was the Worst of Teams...
Within the 5CD, we now have a distinct top, middle, and bottom rung. The middle rung consists of 3 teams hovering right around .500. The top rung consists of the 9-1 Sugar Gliders, gliding their way through their first year in the league - and then you get to the bottom rung - and there you find the 47ers. Near the bottom of the league in scoring, wins, and a mediocre coach rating that averages below 80% each week, the 47ers have been a disappointment. Starting off the year by losing 6 of their first 7 games was too much to overcome, and now, after losing to the Gliders in week 10, their 3-7 record all but guarantees entry into the losers' bracket come playoff time. Jerry "I care too much - meaning that all those teams that don't care and are still beating me, is really humiliating" Cook will play the role of spoiler for the rest of the season, starting with Rivalry Week, where he hopes to prevent his wife getting yet another T-shirt celebrating her football dominance over him. Back at the top, the Sugar Gliders are the only team to have clinched a playoff spot, and have also clinched a tie for the best record in the league. Shoshana "I actually feel bad for you teams that... what's it called again? Oh right... lose" Cook has dominated all season, and recently added help upstairs, with co-manager Nathan "I've played in over 36 fantasy leagues since 2004 - including Hockey - perhaps it's time to admit I have a problem" Lennox joining the Gliders' front office. Perhaps the help was needed entering Rivalry Week, as the Gliders will put their 4 game winning streak on the line against another team on a 4 game winning streak, managed by her husband. The Rivalry Week plot thickens!
A Tale of Two Weeks
No one said it would last forever. The re-energized Easily Offensive, who had been the highest scoring team for 3 consecutive weeks, suddenly fell back to earth in week 10. No dominating performance from a rookie RB was in sight, and the result was a less than impressive 82 point offensive output. Had they been playing any of the other victorious teams in week 10, they would have joined the 47ers in the pit of irrelevance. Instead, they played the Cow Pokes, and a Pokes' season-low point total gave the Offensives a relaxing march to their 4th straight victory. David "Since I can't lose another game, my playoffs started 4 weeks ago" Cook was more lucky than good in week 10, and might have that good fortune continue as the dominating Gliders face a roster full of BYEs in the upcoming Rivalry Week matchup. The Cow Pokes and Norman "I traded away RGIII so Eli could give me 2.7 points?!? If only someone had offered me Andy Dalton instead..." Cook will luckily get Aaron Rodgers back for Rivalry Week. Even more fortunate, of course, is the fact that the game will be against the Hottez.
A Champion's Rant
WatchBlog's Week 10 - Sunday in Review seemed to hit a nerve with one of the CFFFL managers - the reigning Champ, to be exact. Apparently, the Quail Hunters finally took exception with the suggestion that a manager that never shows up for draft day, repeatedly plays inactive players, and trades for Defenses that they don't start, might not be in complete control of her team. Not to mention the WatchBlog source that reported Amanda "I've never watched Arrested Development, so MotherBoy makes no sense to me" Cook herself admitted that her 2011 roster was often managed by someone similar to her in genetic makeup, but with much shorter, and much, much, much fewer head hairs. In this week's rant, the Hunters' manager went on to categorize WatchBlog as "elusive" and someone no one ever "talks to," but then pretended to know what kind of hairlines are common in the WatchBlog extended family. The stress of Rivalry Week must really be getting to people.

Week 10 - Sunday in Review
WatchBlog here. 3 games are final. The other 2 aren't really in doubt, but they'll wait til later. Let's get to it.
Trending
The Left Fielders had only won 1 game in their last 5. The Honey Badger had only lost 2 games in their last 8. Despite those trends, the Fielders came into week 10 as a huge favorite over the Badger. Perhaps that had something to do with the fact that the Badger has totally abandoned ship, and doesn't appear to have the least bit of recognition that he is still involved in managing a fantasy football team. Including the loss this week, 3 of the 4 Badger losses have come during a BYE week absence on their roster. Who knows how good their record could be if Andrew "If I was gonna give a care I wouldn't have named my team Honey Badger" actually gave a care. The beneficiary of the Badger indifference in week 10 was Cindy "If my hair wasn't falling out on its own, this season would make me pull it out" Cook's Fielders, who now return to a .500 record and have wiggled into a 3-way tie for 4th place. Perhaps next week will be less stressful when the Fielders play the struggling 47ers - what could be less stressful than Rivalry Week?
Hottness Counting Less These Days
Speaking of struggling, 2 of the worst teams in the CFFFL faced off in week 10, battling for a dwindling glimmer of playoff relevance. Lauren "Anyone want to bet on whether I voted this past election? I didn't think so" Cook's Hottez wit da bodiez battled Durlon "Anyone want to bet on whether I played a video game this past weekend? I didn't think so" Bryant's The Gamers, and The Gamers emerged victorious. Now, at 4-6, The Gamers still have a realistic shot to claim the last playoff spot, while the Hottez are destined for a sub-.500 record, and an apathetic run through the consolation round. The upcoming Rivalry Week matchups have the Hottez vs. the Cowpokes, or Granddaughter vs. Granddad, and The Gamers vs. the Quail Hunters, or unrelated guy vs. the girl who used to work for his brother. It doesn't get anymore intense than that!
Rematch!
The closest game of the day was a rematch of last year's CFFFL Championship. Cousin Mose & Me lost that Championship to the Quail Hunters last year, and in the regular season rematch, MotherBoy did not fare any better. The loss dropped Gary "Expect a surprising twist to the end of this CFFFL season, just like any good Hickory Cole story" Cook to a 3-way tie at 5-5, and only 1 game up on 2 other teams vying for the last playoff spot. Reigning Champ Amanda "The more I win, the more I care, or someone who is controlling my roster cares" Cook has fought back from a 1-3 start, all the way back to a 6-4 record, and a tie for 2nd in the CFFFL. Besides the Hunters' intense Rivalry Week game, MotherBoy will face off vs. Honey Badger in a battle between father and son, with the 3CBC division lead at stake. The Badger has zero players on a BYE next week, so MotherBoy will have their hands full fighting for their playoff life.
The exciting conclusion later. WatchBlog out.

Week 9 - Monday in Review
WatchBlog here. Wow. Just, wow. Let's get to it.
Matchup of Mediocrity
The Left Fielders and the Quail Hunters came into week 9, each tied at 4-4, and both needing a win to remain in a second place tie in the 5CD. Both have gotten to 4-4 in very different ways, as the Fielders started the season off at 3-1, while the Hunters were 1-3. The Fielders have struggled since, while the Hunters have started to mount a run to defend their championship crown. Last week was equally contrasted as the Hunters were coming off an embarrassing loss to the 47ers, while the Fielders were coming off an impressive win over the 3CBCD leading MotherBoy. The question was, which team would respond to this week's challenge knowing that only 4 regular season games remain after the dust settled on week 9. Cindy "I'm offering to trade you a TE - please ignore his negative point total for this week" Cook's team put up a nice 91 point effort, but it just wasn't enough to hold off Drew Brees and Amanda "I'm totally drafting my own team next year - Ha! Got ya!" Cook's Hunters. Both teams are still in playoff position, but that could easily change in the next 4 weeks.
Sibling Rivalry
Prior to week 7, the Sugar Gliders traded away back up QB Andy Dalton in order to get the traditional stud fantasy RB Fred Jackson. The cost to the Gliders was that they would have to play the inconsistent QB Phillip Rivers in week 9, with Tom Brady on a BYE. Would the loss of Dalton cost Shoshana "Do I feel bad beating my brother in Fantasy Football? No - he liked to torture me when we were kids - payback time!" Cook a game in the loss column? Being that Rivers actually outscored Dalton by a 1/2 point, the answer was no. Of course, it didn't hurt that her opponent, The Gamers, was reeling from injuries to their RBs, and in fact bemoaned the fact that the acquisition deadline had passed even before they knew they were gonna be down another RB. The Gamers had such a bad day, they actually would have been better off starting Jay Cutler - now that's a bad day. The loss dropped Durlon "I had a new carpenter set, I was trying to make your doll house even better, I promise!" Bryant to 3-6 on the year. Perhaps his luck will improve next week when he plays the Hottez during a BYE week, but don't count on it.
A Steaming Bowl of Indifference
In the Indifferent Bowl played this week, the 2 teams most guilty of ignoring their rosters and playing inactive players matched up against one another, and in no surprise, 3 players were on BYEs between the 2 teams. Honey Badger only had 1 inactive, but he also declined to play the red hot Chicago Def, and as a result left 23 points on his bench just at that position. These 2 teams are so apathetic, WatchBlog doesn't even have the energy to give their owners nicknames for this week. The Badgers won. The Hottez lost. Who gives a McGahee.
Martin - it's Not Just a Sitcom Anymore
In a rematch of week 1, MotherBoy and Easily Offensive faced off in a vitally important game for both teams. MotherBoy needed the win to keep a hold on first place in the 5CBCD, and Easily Offensive needed the win just to keep their season somewhat relevant. For the showdown, the favored MotherBoy had 2 players on BYEs, but with one of the deepest teams in the league, wasn't terribly handcuffed. On the other hand, Easily Offensive not only had 3 players on BYEs, but also 2 players out with injury going into the game, and 2 others who missed time because of in-game injuries. The 2-6 Offensives certainly had too high of a hurdle to jump in order to knock off the mighty MotherBoy. But then RB Doug Martin happened - more specifically, his second half happened. In that second half, Martin put up 48 points, and almost single-handedly handed MotherBoy their 4th loss of the season, and even more amazingly, vaulted the laughing stock of the CFFFL into a 3-6 record, and a 4-way tie for 7th place, just 1 game out of the final playoff spot. Gary "I should have been vetoing trades long before last week" Cook has now fallen 1 game behind Honey Badger, and into 2nd place in the 5CBCD. David "I'm not ever having a son, but if I did, his name would be Douglas Martin Cook" Cook has led the league in scoring for 3 weeks in a row now, and will meet the Cow Pokes and their newly acquired backup QB in week 10. Holy McGahee, all 10 teams are still in this thing!
